Our friends came over recently to see the new tile foyer we had installed. They were surprised to see we did not "seal" the tile. Is that something we should have done? And what is "sealing" anyway? Is it expensive?
Mark -- Burke, VA
It depends greatly on the style of tile. If you've got a tile with a glaze finish, more than likely it's not going to take the sealant very well. Sealing tile is always a good idea, but it's not essential. Sealing is typically done on natural products as opposed to man made. Hope that helps

With the economy the way it is, my wife and I were looking at ways to knock down our energy costs. Any suggestions on the easiest? Or the cheapest?
Eric -- Fairfax, VA
There are many ways - some expensive, most rather inexpensive. Follow this link or email me personally at bradlyhomes@gmail.com and I'd be happy to go into much more detail.
